Do you dream of stepping into the world of the Bridgerton family, facing off against Vecna in the “Stranger Things” Upside Down, or attending a dinner party inspired by “Knives Out”? Your dreams are about to come true.
Netflix recently announced the launch of Netflix Houses, massive entertainment complexes where fans can immerse themselves in real-life experiences based on their favorite shows and movies from the streaming platform.
These venues will offer a variety of experiential activities, including themed restaurants, shopping experiences with show-related merchandise, challenges like the Glass Bridge from “Squid Game,” replica sets, and more, as per Netflix.
The first two Netflix House locations are set to open in 2025 in Texas’ Galleria Dallas and the King of Prussia mall near Philadelphia. These entertainment complexes will occupy over 100,000 square feet each within former department stores in the malls.
“At Netflix House, visitors can enjoy immersive experiences that are regularly updated, indulge in retail therapy, and savor unique food and drink offerings inspired by their favorite Netflix series and films,” stated Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer. “These venues will bring our beloved stories to life in new, ever-changing, and unexpected ways.”
Netflix sees these locations as the next generation of experiences, aiming to blur the lines between on-screen entertainment and the real world for fans. The more than 50 experiences across 25 cities that have already been launched have been well-received.
Current Netflix experiences around the globe include “Bridgerton” high tea settings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and London; an immersive “Stranger Things” exhibit in São Paulo, Brazil; and a “Knives Out” dinner party in Toronto.
