Have you ever dreamt of stepping into the world of the Bridgerton family, challenging Vecna in the “Stranger Things” Upside Down, or attending a “Knives Out” dinner party? Your dreams could soon become a reality.
Netflix has announced the launch of Netflix Houses, which are massive entertainment complexes where fans can immerse themselves in real-life experiences inspired by their favorite shows and movies from the streaming service.
These venues will offer a variety of rotating “experiential” activities, including themed restaurants, merchandise shops, challenges like the Glass Bridge from “Squid Game,” set replicas, and more, as reported by Netflix.
The first two locations are scheduled to open in 2025 at popular shopping centers in Texas and near Philadelphia. These Netflix Houses will be situated in former department stores within the malls, each spanning over 100,000 square feet.
“At Netflix House, visitors can enjoy immersive experiences that are regularly updated, shop for exclusive merchandise, and indulge in food and drinks inspired by their favorite Netflix series and films,” stated Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer. “These venues will bring our beloved stories to life in new and unexpected ways.”
Netflix describes these locations as “the next generation” of experiences aimed at bringing their content beyond the screen and into the real world of fans. Many of the 50+ experiences across 25 cities that have already been launched have been well-received.
Existing Netflix experiences worldwide include “Bridgerton” high tea events in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and London; an immersive “Stranger Things” exhibit in São Paulo, Brazil; and a “Knives Out” dinner party in Toronto.
