May 3, 1951 – June 10, 2024
Linda Rae Redfern passed away at her home in Butte on Monday June 10, 2024. She was born May 3, 1951 to Earl Nelson and Marie Jager. Linda was a Butte native, raised in Finn town, and was proud of her Finland/Irish heritage and to be from this great city. Linda held many positions throughout her life but the one she was most passionate about was volunteering to be the event coordinator/treasurer for Butte Community Celebrations where she had great pride in assisting our town with events, holidays, and parades.
Linda is preceded by her loving husband, Frank Redfern that has brought her eternal, love laughter and happiness of the last 32 years. She had three wonderful children, Piper Listvelt, Logan Campana, B.J. Belli, granddaughter, Kayliana Belli and brother Punky Nelson. Not enough can be said about what a great and amazing mom she was. She was a loving mother not only to her own children but many others that she took in over the years.
Linda enjoyed crafting, gardening, dancing, gambling, finding treasures at garage sales with family and a good game of cards. Her crafting skills were magical and brought smiles to all who received them. Frequently, she made cherished gifts every year that took months of crafting, heart and soul to give out for the holidays. Her garden sprouted new flowers once a year that would give her childlike joy and excitement to work on. She LOVED Halloween! All of the costumes, creations, and everything spooky is amongst her most cherished possessions. Linda had a smile that could warm a room, hugs that would melt your heart and a ferocious love for her family and friends. Her gypsy soul and unwavering love for all will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Linda had decided to be cremated and that in lieu of a funeral… she would rather we have a celebration of life! This will be planned later in the year.
